The Pōhutukawa is often referred to as the Kiwi Christmas tree.
They usually begin to bloom in late November and by Christmas time they are covered in these beautiful flowers, which vary in intensity between plants.
A lot of the birds seem to love them including many of our natives like the tui.
Beautiful shots, the color of the flowers are so lovley.
