The Milkman's View

A couple of weekends ago I went for an adventure around Wellington and discovered this old cowshed on top of Mt Crawford.

It was quite the surprising discovery as Crawford is one of the major hills/mountains surrounding the city and its hard to imagine cattle having grazed in the area or workers being able to focus with that view.

Having seen similar buildings on our farm I would guess that are from around the mid 1900's though there doesn't seem to be any information about the farm. When I was up there it appeared that it was now used to graze a horse.

Don't Ruffle My Feathers

This is my mother's rooster Dan. We originally believed that he was a chicken but that opinion was quickly changed. Luckily he is very placid and not bothered by us going in his paddock.

He loves to crown, especially at inopportune times, like the wee hours of the morning or late at night.

Otherwise, his main focus is making sure all his girls are protected and safe. He lets us know when one has escaped onto the lawn and within the dogs sights.

Cat-u-lus

A few years ago when the cat was little he decided to try his hand at my maths homework, this was my proof that the cat really did try to eat it.
